2025 Wrap-up

We think back to what we thought Airstreaming was about back in 2022. We did not know anything about the Airstream Club International, and surely did not know anything about regions and club memberships. We have been able to attend several places that we would not have seen without the SC Coastal Airstream Club. We have made so many new friends on our trips with them.

We took 14 trips this year and traveled somewhere every month except January. We have traveled to MS, LA, AL, MO, GA, and SC. We finish the year with 8887 miles traveled. We have been on the road for 61 days. We spent $2128 on fuel and got an average of 13.14 mpg.  Overall, a great year.

The first shakedown trip for Frances, a new Classic Airstream, was a success. The trip included relaxing by the pool, enjoying a Colt Ford concert, and troubleshooting a few minor issues with the Airstream. Despite the heat and noise from the Scrapping the Coast event, the trip was enjoyable and comfortable.

The Natchez Hot Air Balloon Festival in Vidalia, LA was enjoyed despite the weather preventing balloon flights. The weekend included bike rides, exploring the Merry Market, visiting the Turning Angel statue in the Natchez City Cemetery, and relaxing at the RV resort. The trip home was uneventful, with the exception of a fallen tree on the Natchez Trace Parkway.

November 6-9-2025

The trip to Gulfport Luxury RV Resort was enjoyable, with activities like sightseeing, biking, and relaxing. The weather was perfect for outdoor activities, but a Canadian cold front arriving on Monday meant the Airstream needed to be winterized for the first time. The return home was smooth, with a stop in Hattiesburg, and the winterization process when we got home, though a bit nerve-wracking, was completed successfully.

The trip marked the end of a successful year of Airstreaming, with 14 trips, 8887 miles traveled, and new friendships made.
