River View RV Resort – Vidalia LA
March 28 – 30, 2025 River View RV Resort
Will be heading out Friday morning to head to Natchez. And stay at River View RV Resort in Vidalia, Louisiana. We hope to meet up with some of the people that are on the caravan for the Natchez Trace trip.
We’ll go out to eat one day at lunch. And the rest of the time just sit back and relax and enjoy the weekend.

We messed around in town, so we didn’t get here too early. We made good time and got good gas mileage. (16.4 mpg) The natural Trace is always an easy drive.
There are 22 Airstreams here that are on the Natchez Trace caravan. They will start in Natchez and work their way north to Nashville over the next month. There are three more Airstreams here that are not part of the group. Making a total of 25.
While walking the dogs around the park, the group in the caravan are from far away. Vermont, North Carolina, California, Kansas, Wisconsin. Jack visited with our neighbor in a 1976 Argosy. Joyce and Lee Cantrell are the owners, and they are from Kansas. He bought it and had to strip everything out of it and rebuild it from scratch on the inside. I’m sure it looks very nice.
I doubt we get an invitation to any activities; there’s just not too many Henrys in this world.
The weather was super windy and rained early in the evening and some during the night.
Saturday – March 29, 2025
We went to the farmers market in Natchez and walked around to some of the shops until lunchtime. We had a Po’boy for Wardo’s across from the old train depot in the farmers market area.
We came back and watched some of the March Madness games.
We went back for dinner at Pig Out and all as always it is very good.
The wind was bad again today, but not as bad as Friday. It was supposed to rain all day Saturday, and we had a few sprinkles here and there. It has been cloudy the entire day. But not much rain.
Sunday – March 30, 2025
We didn’t get up too early but got started on preparing to come home. Jack takes care of the outside and I do the inside. The process continues to be easy, and we left out around 9 o’clock. Traveling up to Trace especially the first 30 miles is very pretty with the winding roads and the trees that overhang the Natchez Trace. It is such a pretty sight?
Will be back in October for the balloon festival and are looking forward to it again.
