Hoover Met RV Park – November 16-22, 2022 – Site 120
Thursday: November 16, 2023
We got off at about 2:20pm after working most of the day. We arrived around 6:40pm. Driving in the dark was quite the adventure and I don’t think we will be doing that any time soon. We didn’t have any issues other than the traffic was bad. We hit Tuscaloosa at 5:15 and it happened to be a shift change at the Mercedes plant.
When we arrives at the Hoover Met RV Park, someone was parked in our spot. What? He was very nice about it but he had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for him to move.
Spot 120 was right on the playground in the soccer fields. It was nice. We had our own grass spot with some trees for the dogs and it was level. The park is pretty well lit so set up wasn’t bad.

I had to work all day as it was my last day of Annette’s three week vacation to Italy. The computer set up worked fine. Thanks to Jack.
We had the Wynonna Judd concert that night. We had good seats and the concert was great. She plaued her first two albums in full, with a short break in-between each one. Amazing.

We plan to do some shopping at the Summit and meet Andy, Pam and Holly for lunch. We had a good visit with them and enjoyed catching up.
After lunch we did a little shopping. Should I say, we had a coupon at the Tecovas Store, and we walked out with three bags mostly for me.
For dinner, we ate steak and just hung out at the RV for the rest of the day. There was lots of activities going on all around the park. One of our favorite things to do is to have the door open. There have only been a few times that the weather has permitted that and today was one.

We got up early so that we could go to 8 o’clock church service at The Church of the Highlands. It takes a lot of people to make that service happen. It theme was “Where Movies Meet Church” So you watch the movie clip and then the pastor explains how it relates to real life issues, and then to the Bible. Got back about 9:30am and I got my walking in. We were starving by 10:15am so we had an early lunch. It’s cooler here today and lots going on at the park as usual.

We worked all day today. We have the Peter Frampton tonight. I was amazing and Jack got to mark off one more item on his bucket list. The concert was great. He played all the song that you would want to hear. Very enjoyable.
Monday night we have rain and storms coming in so we prepped as much as possible Monday afternoon so we didn’t have to do that in the rain on Tuesday morning. Good decision.

Tuesday morning get away was uneventful but the first couple of hours was in the rain. Not a very hard rain but continuious. We made it to the last Alabama rest area before Mississippi. It was a nice break as the rain had stopped. The rest of the travel was nice, smooth traveling and made it home around 1pm.
We had a great trip, and appears to be our last trip of 2023.
