Sunday – December 8, 2024:
We got on the road about 9 o’clock, enjoying a leisurely start to our trip without any rush. It sprinkled on and off during our drive down, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. After checking in, we set up our camp despite the light rain. For lunch, we decided to visit Captain Al’s, where the food and the attentiveness of the staff were very good. The remainder of the evening was spent watching football and enjoying a cozy meal in our RV.

Monday – December 9, 2024:
We started a slow and lazy morning as the rain began early. We took the opportunity to visit the mall, where we managed to get some steps in while waiting for the stores to open at 11 o’clock. During our outing, we filled up on fuel and picked up some po’ boy’s for lunch from Little Ray’s to take back with us for lunch.

The rain has been heavy all day and unfortunately, we experienced a water leak. Jack thought it might be puddling on the roof. So, he was able to address the issue by lowering the front end of the trailer, and it seemed to have stopped. Just to be safe, we’re planning to drop off the trailer for service at Foley RV, as it’s likely that everything on the roof needs resealing, especially as we enter year three of our adventures.

Tuesday – December 10, 2024:
This morning started with no rain, and we will be dropping off the Airstream at Foley RV before we head home. This weekend’s weather was wet and dreary, but it was refreshing to get away for a bit after not traveling at all in November. We have two trips planned for December, which we’re really looking forward to. Spot 124 here at Gulfport Luxury RV Resort has become one of our favorites, offering a perfect view complete with some pleasant shade.

When arriving at Foley RV to drop it off, John asked if we would like to just seal the area in question on the roof and then be on our way. We took him up on that idea. So we will be checking on the roof again during our next opportunity. Another relaxing trip.
