Gulf Beach RV Resort – Biloxi Ms – Site #4
May 12-14, 2023
As always, when you travel you look at the weather to see how it’s going to be where you are staying. But this time, the weather is all about what happened before we ever got out of town.
We picked up Maria on Wednesday afternoon to bring her home to do some general maintenance before the trip. But on the way home, the weather blew up and a pretty good storm came in. So we turned around and took it back to storage. The following day looked so much better and we brought it home and I did all the maintenance that we needed to take care of. But later that afternoon, a storm came in again. It was really starting to blow, so I hooked up and took it back to storage.
The wind gust were in the 60 to 70 mile an hour range and I wasn’t sure that I was going to make it to storage again. I did make it without too many issues but I did see a lot of items flying around. Unfortunately I did not beat all the wind and rain so I just parked in a pull through spot at the storage area. There I unhooked and left for the night. The following morning we were ready to go and the weather was nice so we packed the truck and went to the storage unit to pick up Maria and we hooked up and got out of town.
Friday:
We left at 9:00 and made good time. Big Blue – well can’t say enough about what a good purchase this has been. It was a very enjoyable drive to Biloxi with no issues. This was somewhat of a last-minute trip. We were determined to go! The weather didn’t keep us from going.
This was our 4th trip to Gulf Beach Rv Resort. You might say this is our go to place, especially on short notice. The weather in Biloxi was beautiful.
Saturday:
It was a relaxing but short trip. We enjoyed our mornings outside and sat out on Saturday and Sunday as well. We watched the sun rise just after 6am and later that morning we went to Bay Saint Louis Saturday morning to a blues festival to support one of the local high schools. We enjoyed our time there. We headed back into Gulfport to get some fuel and stop by the outlet mall.
That evening we went out to eat at The Chimneys. Our meal was very good. We also went by the Gulfport marina to check out a few boats. This is always fun.
Sunday:
Sunday morning was pretty easy way enjoyed sitting outside before we started the breakdown of the site and heading home. The drive home was super nice, big blue has been such a great purchase.
