Biloxi Bay RV Resort – March 5-7 – Site #163

Saturday – There is no one behind us at this site and we back up to the Back Bay water. We are not terribly close to the dog park but when we booked this site we didn’t know that was a thing. We are not on the clubhouse loop. The concrete pad and patio area is very nice.  I think for the price we were both underwhelmed. $88 per night. The resort is still under construction but will be very nice in the future. The clubhouse and pool are very nice. Saturday night they had a band at the clubhouse.

Once again the wind was crazy! (20 to 30 mph gust) We were not able to sit outside and enjoy because of the wind. It was bad on the way down but I didn’t think we realized that until we got to our stop, south of Hattisburg.

Sunday – We went to Saint Pauls United Methodist Church. We were both glad to be there.  After church we ate at Woody’s and our food and service was very good. Then we walked around the shops in downtown Ocean Springs. It’s pretty shaded and nice.

When we got back to the park, the couple that came over when we arrived to say how nice the Airstream was, were still at the park. So we got to say goodbye and safe travels. They had had some electrical issues with their coach early that morning, so they had been delayed.

It was nice they told us how nice the Airstream was but they looked like they had a million dollar coach by the looks of it. They pulled a trailer that stacked. The golf cart went in the trailer then it would raise up out of the way so they could get the Corvette inside. It was impressive to watch her pull the Vet into the trailer. Quite impressive. They were very nice and from the St. Louis Missouri area.

The wind is crazy again today hopefully we won’t be on Monday when we leave. We will cook here again tonight.

Monday – Hook up and departure all went well. The weather (75 degrees) was nice and less windy on our way out of town. North of Hattiesburg we could fill the wind starting to blow hard again. We stopped in Magee for gas and a break.  The weather had changed drastically, temps in the 50’s and the wind gusting into the 30’s. So we took our time driving the rest of the way home. On arrival we cleaned out the rig and put her into storage asap.

Another great trip. The first part of April we will be heading to Birmingham.
