We’re Jack and Diane Noel. We picked up our first Airstream, a 27’FBQ Flying Cloud, in December of 2021. We then started traveling, building confidence, and learning the basics. Also, the NRVTA training was invaluable, providing additional knowledge. Each trip was a lesson, paving the way for future adventures.
For starters, neither of us grew up camping or had ever camped prior to owning our first RV, an Airstream. An adult dream of Jack’s and finally Diane got on board after booking an Airstream Air BNB. We watched countless hours of YouTube videos to learn about RVing and seeing the travel sights of others. We are excited to see what adventure our future travels bring.
Each year, we explore further destinations, gaining new experiences and skills. Every mile added fresh scenery, stories, and a deeper love for traveling.
From nervous beginners to seasoned travelers, we’ve grown confident and comfortable going wherever our hearts take us. Every experience has shaped us into confident adventurers. Every challenge has turned into a lesson, and every destination has become a cherished memory.
In May of 2025, we made a change and upgraded to our second Airstream, a 2025 28’ Classic RBT. Now, we’re excited to plan longer trips, checking off our bucket list destinations and turning our dreams into reality. The road ahead is full of possibilities, and we can’t wait to embrace them.
Our website documents our adventures, showcasing the cool stuff we’ve seen and done. Many times, we revisit a post of these amazing places we’ve visited over the past few years, reliving the joy of our travels.
The Early Years
Our first year, we stayed pretty close to home with our travels. Making trips to Natchez, Laurel, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. All of these are within three hours of home. Each of these trips expanded our knowledge and lit our fire for traveling.
Not all trips were a complete success, but we did learn every time we went out.
Things We Like To Do
Many of our trips are to a location for a concert. By the end of 2025, we will have gone to at least 25 concerts in four years.
Some Of Our Favorite Locations.
We probably need to break this down into a couple of categories. First, the places that we like to go on short notice in a quick turnaround include Riverview RV Resort in Vidalia, Louisiana, and Gulfport Luxury RV Resort. All of these are within three hours of home and have great facilities and great places to eat close by.
Other locations that are not so close but include Kentucky Horse RV Park in Lexington, Tropic Hideaway RV Resort, and Hoover Met Rv Park.
Bucket List Locations
In 2023, Church Hill Downs and ACI International in Sedalia Missouri.
Future trips to Key West and other islands on the Florida coast. The Blue Ridge Parkway during the fall of the year.
You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know
Some of the most basic tasks are not until you get an opportunity to do them.
Winterizing, opening an awning, disconnecting and connecting a trailer from a truck. It’s not always pretty, but you learn and hopefully get better each time.
Best Experience
Trips to ACI International and Lexington and Louisville KY and trip to Church Hill Downs.
Concerts to see Peter Frampton and Wyonna on the same weekend.
Things We Did Not Know
As beginners, we had no clue of the airstream club international, and the people that we would meet by joining the club. We have found that we have friends all over the southeast at this time that we did not have before.
Learning New Things
Taking the NRVTA training course.
Following YouTubers that seem to continue to teach us something new every week.
Birmingham – Hoover Met RV Park
April 1-3, 2022 – Site #46
Hoover Met RV Park is a nice, well-lit parking lot with full hookups and a dog area.
The park hosts various activities and provides shelter during inclement weather.
Biloxi Bay RV Resort – Biloxi MS
March 5-7 – Site #163
A weekend trip to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, was enjoyable despite the strong winds. The resort, though under construction, had a nice clubhouse and pool. The trip included a visit to Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, a walk through downtown Ocean Springs, and a farewell to a friendly couple from St. Louis.
Buccaneer State Park / Waveland Mardi Gras Parade
February 18 – 21, 2022 – Site number 89
We enjoyed their stay at Buccaneer State Park, particularly site #89 with full hookups and a grassy area for dogs. We explored Bay Saint Louis, ate at Trappani’s, and attended the Waveland Mardi Gras parade, finding the experience lively.
