September 26 – 30, 2025 Gulfport Mississippi

This is our fifth trip to Gulfport Luxury RV Resort in 2025. This is just a relaxing trip, with no plans to speak up. Hopefully to enjoy the pool and lazy river, and grab roast beef poboy somewhere.

We will also be doing a little planning for our trip in April 2026 when our friends Chris and Carey join us here. What should we do, what can we do, whatever that is, it would be great.

Gulfport Luxury RV Resort – Site #105

Friday: September 26
I had to work today, So I made it a remote session. All went well as I worked from the truck on the way down. The Wi-Fi is a little weak in site #105, so we made the hotspot work.

We got off about 8 o’clock. The traffic was fine and we made good time and good gas mileage.

We are next to the 2  bungalows. We tried to work a deal with the lady at the front desk, but that didn’t work out. It’s their loss since neither or rented this weekend.

There were not many people here when we arrived. Eight rigs maybe. More have come in since we have arrived, but still less that half.

We ate Jack’s famous gumbo for lunch. We plan to eat smoked hamburgers for dinner.

Saturday: September 27

I went to the pool early, the floats that you sit in or nowhere to be found. The rings just aren’t comfortable. I was hoping to find one at Walmart, but they already had Christmas out. One of my favorite things about staying here is the lazy river in pool. I’m spoiled now that there are floats you can sit in. I will ask a staff member today and if they are not available, I may have to go buy one. I sunned until 11 o’clock while Jack went out to find some washers for the water hoses. We got a good walk in early before it was too hot.

We ate in and then went to the movie to see Downton Abbey, The Final Chapter. We picked up dinner on our way home. We made a quick stop at Walmart, then back to the rig.

The Wi-Fi in site #105 is weak so it was difficult to watch football when we got back.

Sunday: September 28

The weather has been beautiful. Cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon with a cool breeze. Nice in the shade, but hot in the sun.

Our undesirable neighbors left today. Their pack-up behavior was more than I wanted to endure so I went to the pool. I have prayed for them. The adults and the children.

In the morning, I had to pull to myself. I stayed until about lunch then we ate in and then Jack put on some ribs for dinner.

Before dinner, we made a Walmart run. I got some fresh corn and salad and found a chair float for the pool. Everything was good, but the salad and ribs were especially good. We have shade in the afternoon so we have been eating outside.

We unloaded the bikes so we can ride some on Monday.

Riding along the Gulf of America

Monday: September 29

You can tell today is a workday. Beach Boulevard is much more busy early with traffic for school and work. It’s another beautiful morning.

I went to the pool early after our walk. I had the place to myself until around 11 o’clock when I was leaving. We cooked lunch. Jack had some work to do so. I sat outside while he finished up.

Then we went to Buc-ee’s in past Christian. It’s the largest one to date. It felt very roomie, even the parking lot. It was very nice and we picked up a few of our favorites.

We had planned to get a little raise roast beef poboy, but they were closed. We got one from Felix and had to get a fried shrimp poboy. It was good, but we shared and finished all the gumbo. The rice had been frozen. I won’t say it’s ruining the gumbo,  but it should have been fresh.

We rode bikes down the beach a bit, and then back and loaded the outside to into the truck.

Tuesday: September 30

Traveling home today, we aren’t in a big hurry, but make sure we don’t oversleep. I enjoyed the early morning, especially when I got to enjoy them at a slower pace.

Jack washed the airstream yesterday and I had already removed the bugs on the front of the truck.

It’s been a good trip. We didn’t do much but enjoyed the weather and being away. No regrets on the Classic.
